Pilkington Optilam™ Phon noise reduction glass has been renamed Pilkington Optiphon™.

The product retains its specification and continues to provide an excellent solution for unwanted noise. Pilkington Optiphon™ is suitable for internal and external applications and is available in five different thicknesses to provide the full range of noise control levels.

Anne Quayle, Marketing and Sales Support Manager, Pilkington, said: “The renaming to Pilkington Optiphon™ from Pilkington Optilam™ Phon means the glass can easily be identified by customers as the product to specify for noise control. Over the next two months we will be releasing information and new brochures to customers. We will also update our on-line product directory to make it easier for specifiers to order Pilkington Optiphon™.”

To coincide with the name change Pilkington will also issue a new technical bulletin entitled ‘Noise Control with Glass’. The bulletin will inform architects and specifiers about noise control glass, its benefits and highlight relevant building regulations and technical advice that should be adhered to.
