‘Journey to C’, the series of FREE practical workshops organised by Edgetech to help window companies achieve the Window Energy Ratings they need, has seen a high level of interest following its January launch. “To date the workshops have seen nearly 100 delegates register for the events nationwide, and that’s before the official invitations have been issued,” says Alan Fielder, Director of Sales and Marketing at Edgetech. “We could obviously see the merits of the ‘Journey to C’ initiative or we wouldn’t have invested so heavily in organising it, but it’s clearly striking a chord with the industry too. Window fabricators and installers that don’t want to get caught short with the proposed Building Regulations potentially stating that ALL replacement windows must have a Window Energy Rating of C or above, have been quick to take advantage of this practical support.
“The ‘Journey to C’ and ‘B ing There’ (in Scotland) workshops across the UK offer window fabricators and installers the opportunity to collate all the information they need to achieve a C Window Energy Rating and even walk away with: FREE Thermal Simulation Reports by BFRC Certified Simulators; FREE System Air Leakage Reports; FREE factory process control system document template; Introduction to appropriate accredited IG provider; and a Diary date for an Independent Assessor audit.”
