Kömmerling, along with the other brands of the profine Group, enjoyed a hugely successful Fensterbau exhibition, showcasing a number of new products and emphasising their considerable green credentials as Europe’s number 1 systems company.
The front of house stand at the Nuremburg show was a celebration of the profine Group’s resources and presence across 21 different countries, including a number of UK specific products. Each of the systems on display was extruded using Greenline, profine Group’s proven lead-free compound, as the European market for PVCu windows and doors looks to become entirely lead-free by 2015.
The 88 Plus System was one highlight which incorporates foam-filled steel, use of lead-free recycled materials for the inner structure of the profile, triple glazing, 6 chambers and can take standard UK 70mm window hardware. Combined with other features, this window can readily meet a 0.8 ‘U’ value, a pre-requisite for PassivHaus, which is the world’s leading standard in energy efficient construction.
Robert Thiroff, managing director of profine UK commented: “The show was very impressive from a Group perspective and furthermore, we had the opportunity to meet both existing and potentially new customers from the UK. The show and indeed our stand had a real buzz about it, something that we’ve contributed to with a number of new and exciting products which will be launched in the UK during the course of the year. These products will also help enhance our reputation as one of the industry’s true innovators.”
