Kömmerling has just launched their new £multi-million 070 Gold window and door system, that’s highly energy efficient and extruded with the company’s unique Greenline lead-free compound.
The new system is a 70mm ovolo window and door system that’s part of a £2m investment programme for a UK specific window and door system. It also integrates with Kömmerling’s existing C70 chamfered system and that means lower stockholding through common ancillaries and reinforcement sections. Both systems are available with both black and grey gaskets and with the choice of 44 colours and woodgrain finishes.
O70 Gold is a 5 chambered and highly energy efficient system, which means low U-values and perhaps more importantly makes it easy to achieve an ‘A’ rating without the need for expensive glass options. For installers, both the C70 and new O70 systems are a more cost effective way of achieving an ‘A’ rating. Given that all Kömmerling systems are also lead-free, it’s a perfect formula for more sales and better green credentials.
With the industry committed to the removal of lead from PVCu profiles by 2015, the fact that Kömmerling’s Greenline compound has been used throughout Europe including the warmer climates of southern Europe and the cold of the Alps for the last 6 years inspires confidence. This is particularly apparent when some competitors are only just starting out on the lead-free route.
Robert Thiroff, managing director of Kömmerling in the UK comments: “This is a big investment in the UK at a time when our competitors are cutting back. It cements our commitment to the UK market and supports our customers. We believe that we now have the best product range in the UK whether you are an installer, fabricator or specifier and furthermore we’re lead-free and our proud that we’ve shown leadership in this important green issue. We’ll also be launching a new slim sash for our C70 system in response to customer demand.”
