SFS intec has joined its two specification and customer service teams across the roofing, cladding, glazing and hinge applications as part of a major internal restructuring process.
The newly created SFS intec Fastening Systems will be headed up by Sales and Marketing Director Colin Yeates and provide customers with a single point of contact for both fastening systems and door hinge technology.
Colin Yeates, who has over 30 years experience in the construction fasteners industry, commented on the newly formed UK operation: “In a dramatically changing and demanding market place, it’s essential that businesses continue to provide a relevant, value added service as well as innovative product solutions."
“The demands of fabricators and contractors have changed as they now work across a broader range of applications. So it was only natural that we put in place a business structure that reflects the current market needs to better serve our customers."
SFS intec has also appointed a new Innovations Director to mirror the change in demand and ensure innovations and knowledge are shared across the different business applications, especially in the façade, offsite and rainscreen sectors.
Glen Wainwright has been appointed from within the business and will be responsible for SFS intec’s UK product development. Glen will be pulling ideas and knowledge from all industries and working with the logistics and manufacturing departments internationally to develop new products and applications.
The internal restructuring has created a larger specifications team which consists of three in-house experts, led by Chris Duffy, who will be providing technical expertise and guidance, along with four CPD approved seminars covering flat roofing, corrosion, glass and hinges.
SFS intec will continue to service its customers through two sales teams – ‘building envelope’ and ‘doors and windows’ – meeting the different needs of the particular industries.
