Safestyle UK in conjunction with Edgetech is delighted to announce that 2011 will see the retail giant start to manufacture windows incorporating Super Spacer warm edge technology. Selling over £100 million of replacement windows and doors in the last year alone, Safestyle is launching its Safestyle Eco-Diamond suite of A rated products incorporating what it is says is the industry’s ‘best’ WER Super Spacer.
Mark Scaife, Safestyle’s Manufacturing Operations Director explains the company’s latest move: “For us, Super Spacer is ‘the’ quality warm edge technology on the market, so in many respects, the decision to work with Edgetech was an easy one. However as you’d expect, we did extensive research, trials and benchmarking across all the potential suppliers and Edgetech came out on top in all areas. When you are manufacturing the high volumes that we do, productivity savings are critical and using Super Spacer means we can eliminate the need to cut / corner key offline or use slow bending equipment. In addition, the fact that Edgetech manufactures in the UK and Europe played a part in the decision in terms of securing the supply chain.
“However, our decision was mainly driven through the significant thermal efficiency improvements. Ultimately, Super Spacer has given us a cost effective solution to producing a truly superb A rated window which we can offer to customers at a really affordable price.
