CAB is delighted to be heading up the Aluminium Area (Stand N230 – CAB 05) feature at Ecobuild 2011 (1-3 March), having worked closely with the organisers to create a 150 square metre ‘aluminium village’ style pavilion representing the aluminium in building supply chain. CAB itself will be updating visitors on the very latest aluminium and sustainability information including a number of major projects that it is involved in such as generic environmental profiling, service life and responsible sourcing.
The growth in interest in the use of aluminium as a sustainable building material is highlighted by the fact that a record 20% of CAB’s membership will be exhibiting at the show either in the Aluminium Area itself or separately. The 7 member company stands on the CAB pavilion are: Alpro; Alumet (Avon Solar Control); Carl F Groupco; Centor Europe; Fieger; LJ Pratley & Partners and Universal Architectural Aluminium Systems. In addition to a general lounge area CAB will be manning a reception desk and information area where the CAB Team can discuss a range of issues surrounding standards, regulations and sustainability.
The enlarged exhibition in its new location at ExCel, Docklands promises to be one of the largest sustainable construction shows to be held anywhere with an anticipated 50,000 visitors due to attend.
