Climatec Windows Ltd have just introduced Kömmerling’s impressive new O70 Gold System to their product range, as the Essex-based fabricator looks to introduce PVCu profiles with lower U-values.
The company has a history that dates back to 1993 and today Climatec operates from 2 sites in Essex, employing over 75 staff and supplying products right across the South of the UK. The company also carries impressive credentials including ISO9001-2001, BBA certification and BS7950, BS7412, PAS 23/24 and Q-Mark accreditation.
The introduction of Kömmerling’s flagship system is a move by the company to give better energy ratings of the overall window, thanks to the system’s highly energy efficient, 5 chambered design. For Climatec’s installers, this means lower glass specifications, better U-values and the kudos of a premium brand.
Directors of Climatec, Steve Barker and Phil Bates, have built the business from scratch and believe this move is one for the future. They commented: “We need better energy ratings through the PVCu content of our windows and 5 chambers are clearly better than 3. It’s also important for us and our customers to be associated with a premium brand and therefore Kömmerling was the only real option.”
Kevin Warner of Kömmerling is enthused about adding Climatec to their network of fabricators and comments: “To bring a fabricator with the pedigree of Climatec to Kömmerling shows our credentials and bold ambitions in the UK. We’re making it easier for both fabricators and installers to meet ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ ratings and to meet the 1.8 U-value under Building Regulations, thanks to lower glass specifications.”
