Promac, the window and glass industry’s leading supplier of machinery and service solutions for 31 years, has been working with Midlands based Nationwide Windows - one of the UK’s leading window and door manufacturers with particular expertise in the social housing and new build sectors – ensuring the smooth installation of a state of the art CNC 4 axis machining centre from Italmac along with a LogiKal software package from Business Micros. Together the machinery and software provide a complete package for fabricators looking to automate the entire process, from point of order to product completion.
Adrian Pavey, Commercial Director at Nationwide, explains: “Whether white or coloured PVC-U windows and doors, GRP composites and now aluminium, Nationwide’s philosophy is to push product development as much as we can, so our clients across the UK can find products that fit their specification depending on size and scope of their replacement projects. With a £300,000 investment at stake, we wanted to ensure we made the right decision about who to partner with to take us through our transition into aluminium production. Obviously the quality and reliability of the machinery we chose was important, but we also wanted to build a relationship with a provider we could trust to ensure the installation was a success and the ongoing service and support was available – the reason we chose Promac.”
John Whalley, Managing Director of Nationwide, concludes:”With the new aluminium machinery up and running, we couldn’t be happier with the way the project rolled out, and how easy the integration of aluminium fabrication into our business has been. I strongly believe this to be because we chose the right team when we decided to work with Promac. We have been delighted with the work they have carried out - so much so we are now in discussions with them about the next phase investment for our PVC-U production - and believe we have laid the foundations for a longstanding relationship with them in the future.”
