The NSG Group is pleased to announce that, by mutual agreement, it has acquired the business of the distributor IGA in the UK.

The acquisition is in line with the NSG Group strategy to extend its network for the supply of value-added glass products within the UK.

Continuity of supply to existing IGA customers will be maintained with glass supplied either directly from St Helens or via branches country-wide.

Commenting on the new acquisition, Andy McDowell, Commercial Director Pilkington United Kingdom said; “We are delighted that this acquisition gives us the opportunity to expand the route to market for our existing and new value-added products, such as Pilkington K Glass™, Pilkington K Glass™ S and Pilkington Optiwhite™ Range.”

René Jansen, Managing Director of IGA added; “With the diverse nature of the requirements of the UK market, I am delighted that IGA has been able to make this arrangement with Pilkington United Kingdom to provide the products in future and I would like to reassure customers that there will be a smooth transition of our business relationship.”

Sales representatives will contact individual customers in January 2012 and will work closely with them to ensure a smooth account transition.
