Secured By Design member and trade fabricator Modplan has just announced that its VEKA Matrix 58 casements and Matrix 70 casements and residential doors will be added to the range of Police Preferred Specification SBD products next month.
The SBD mark means the products have been successfully tested against Secured By Design requirements.
Modplan’s current range of SBD products already includes its VEKA PVCu 70mm fully sculptured casement windows and VEKA PVCu 70mm fully sculptured residential doors.
Modplan’s range of SBD products will be increased to include VEKA PVCu Matrix 58 casement windows, VEKA PVCu Matrix 70 casement windows and VEKA PVCu Matrix 70 residential doors.
As Heidi Sachs, Modplan’s Managing Director, says, “We are delighted to have extended our range of SBD approved products. It means that if our customers want the added reassurance of Police Preferred Specification SBD status, they don’t need to compromise on the style they choose.”
The Secured By Design initiative is administered by The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) focusing on crime prevention and becoming a Secured By Design member involves passing security standards specified by the Association. As Heidi says, “Peace of mind is vital for homeowners. That means that for some of our customers, having Secured By Design accredited products can mean the difference between closing a sale and not closing it. For that reason, our membership is very important to us.”
Modplan’s Secured By Design status reflects its commitment to offering a product range that meets its customers’ needs. But Secured By Design membership is not the only security initiative that Modplan is working on. Heidi explains, “We are working together with VEKA to offer a comprehensive range of VEKA enhanced security systems so that customers can be safe in the knowledge that security is paramount to us.”
